In 2014, our waterfront house, standing on a private quay alongside the Helford River, is available from 25th October until the 15th December. A New Year visit can be booked from the 29th December. Bookings are being taken for 2015 now.
It is the little things that make a house a home. Attention to detail, care for your holiday plans and dreams, an easy, friendly warmth. Bishops Quay, on the Helford River, here in Cornwall, has been most favourably featured in Coast, Country Living and Cornwall Life magazines. This lovely old property, inspected by Sawday’s, also Holiday Lettings, who sent their photographer, gained a four star rating with Quality in Tourism. A much loved holiday home for a quarter of a century.
The usefully flexible accommodation can suit differently sized groups – from a quiet couple to a party of up to six adults and two small children. Dogs are welcome at Bishops Quay; they are able to exercise along the lane and often enjoy outings in the boats. Prices shown are for the three bedroomed house, with a chance to book the large extra bedroom suite if required, which increases the rental by one third. There can be up to two bathrooms and three loos. The atmosphere is characterful, spacious, private, quiet. Logs, dry, from our land, are provided for the open fire, as many as you need, all year around. Balconies and a pretty waterside garden are for warm days and the sunny late evenings. All set 1/4 mile away from the road, down a private track, with only river traffic and wildlife to catch your eye.
Our Visitors Book is full to bursting with happy memories of and thanks for numerous successful holidays taken over the years. Many guests return over and over; we are proud that Bishops Quay is clearly much loved. The house can be booked by contact with us through this site or to use credit cards, do come through Homeaway (property 984) www.homeaway.co.uk or TripAdvisor - property number 70573 – showing all five star reviews.
A complete Helford River based retreat, entirely restful, relaxing, and reviving, altogether an exceptional escape from the everyday. You can unwind from the moment you arrive.
